Hello! I’ve been working through my novel and while I’ve read similar fantasy works in the past I’ve been struggling with finding books based on the list I’ve made. Figured it wouldn’t hurt to ask here while I continue my search. None of the items are hard requirements.
**What I’m Seeking:**
– Third person limited perspective of a male protagonist in his early teens OR from a protagonist that starts in his teens and grows into adulthood.
– Low Fantasy in a historical setting, preferably medieval Wales or involving Welsh Folklore but anything is peachy-keen.
– YA is fine, but Adult is preferred (I know it’s often hard to find younger protagonists in adult fiction)
– Arthurian related/inspired is encouraged but not required.
**The Books I have so far:**
– The Lost Years of Merlin by TA Barron
– The Theif by Megan Whalen Turner
– Here, There be Dragons by James A. Owen
– The Dark is Rising by Susan Cooper
– The Lost Kingdom by Matthew J. Kirby
– The Waking Land by Callie Bates
I’m hoping to bring the list up to about fifteen books before starting 🙌
