Hello all, Just finished the excellent read, My confessions recollection of a rouge. I love books with detailed descriptions of military campaign. I loved all the soldiering in war and peace. Loved the soldiering in Farwell to arms. The only thing was they were a bit too idealistic for me. Recollection of a rouge, featured a lot of the crimes committed against natives, and Mexican populations. Where I felt like war and peace was lacking, or generally avoid the more macabre subjects.
TLDR: Im looking for books with preferably first hand accounts, of marcabe wars/ historic journal from soilders
