Yes, I’m overwhelmed with grief because my two years relationship (w/ my childhood friend at that) ended suddenly, and I have to re-home my puppy of 3 months because I cannot care for him all alone. I’m devastated. Please, please, suggest me books about grief, loss and healing from break-up.

How to carry what can’t be fixed: A journal for grief. By Megan Devine.
The Next Happy by Tracey Cleantis.
Both these really helped me.
That is tough. Really sorry about your situation.
Are you jumping too quickly into rehoming your pet? Have you looked around to see if there is anyone who could take him/her, till you get yourself sorted out? Or at least, ask your local vet for advice. There may be a workaround here.
If not – and you do have to rehome your puppy – that’s not the end of your pet-owning days, you will have loads more chances, once you’ve sorted things out and things are more on an even keel. [they will be.]
I wish I could suggest a suitable book but in a way, getting through this is just life, there isn’t a person on the planet who hasn’t had to go through this grief. I’m not sure if a book would shortcut you through it…you will feel grief, it’s normal, and equally, you will come out the other side, and be ok.
Talk to your parents if you can, to friends, and if that doesn’t comfort enough, you can talk to a counsellor. Though tbh, friends and family are the best-placed people to support you – let them help. All the best to you.
