In a part of my life where many of my female friends are partnering off and it’s changed quite a bit of our friendship dynamics. I’m hoping for fiction about characters going through similar things, like the feeling of being left behind or about the perceived “status” that comes with settling into a traditional life. Doesn’t have to necessarily end happily; I veer more toward realistic fiction than scifi/thriller/etc. Though the only book I can think of that nails these themes is So Happy for You, which is a satire/thriller. Open to nonfiction too if it seems relevant, I’ll cast a wide net! Thanks!
