I am doing a book journal, and some of the pages there are dedicated to countries, I want to read at least 1 book from every country, and now I just realized what I got myself into lol.
Could you please recommend me books from your countries? So I can start making a list? Any novel, classic, poetry, etc… that you like from an author from your country 🙂

Alasdair Gray’s Lanark is the greatest Scottish novel of the 20th century. It is impossible to describe. The same author as Poor Things, which is getting a lot of attention due to the film.
Doña Bárbara (Lady Barbara) by Rómulo Gallegos (Venezuela)
Hmm. For Canada, I think it has to be Anne of Green Gables by Lucy Maud Montgomery or I liked Farley Mowat’s “Never Cry Wolf” – his books really bought Canada’s nature and animals to life for me.
Miriam Toewes The Flying Troutman
Fall on Your Knees Anne Marie McDonald
