Sorry for the long title also long post, please suggest me some books that will help me with being alone and achieving things without need of friends or someone. I am kind of a introvert guy and also somewhat kind who cannot think of harming others verbally or physically or emotionally…but the people around me tend to hurt me emotionally or take advantage of me being not so smart or thinking ahead of cunning people.
The colleague once i called friends talk behind my back and just predent to a good company. I don’t intent to stay with such people but also can’t help it as I have to work in the same organisation. I am fond of fiction genre, mostly mythological books but now it’s high time I start the books that could help me grow also seek purpose and just accept the fact that I am not blessed to have good friends.
For purpose someone suggested me Alchemist a long time ago but didn’t much move me.
    Thanks in advance

i was very lonely at a point in my life and found haruki murakami’s novels very good for that at they set a romanticised mood for being alone and getting about your daily life by yourself which made me enjoy my loneliness so much. genre is magical fiction

    2. I too have suffered from loneliness in the past. I think you should read “Bunny” by Mona Awad. The main character really copes with being alone and it felt very relatable yet entertaining. Also “the midnight library” by Matt Haig made me really think about it what’s important in life.
