I’ve really been enjoying Effortless by Greg McKeown, and Same As Ever by Morgan Housel. They both follow a theme of counter thought to emotional impulse with short stories from history, their personal lives, and modern scientific studies.
With my desire to understand how to become more effective, I also wish to understand the appeal of romance. I read about a third of The Seven principles for Making Marriage Work and am thinking that book will probably still be my best bet.
