Book with hate-able character that is just pure evil?
Where the character is lacked of human decency no backstory no trauma just born from the devil womb. It can be the protagonist or antagonist idc, I wanna feel hate
Aaron the Moor (Titus Andronicus) is probably the most purely evil character in Shakespeare.
strange-glitter on
Mr Udman, in Luckenbooth by Jenni Fagan. He fits your requirements. Utterly odious and cruel. We, the reader watch him be a despicable man over and over. And only we, the reader and his victims get to see that the more evil he is, the more he presents himself as “a good man” to society. The rage they feel, we feel. The fury of the lack of agency his victims. I haven’t read it since 2021, and I’m making myself raging thinking of him.
