I‘ve read so many books about AIDS that are so sad and depressing, which is like of course, but I’m wondering if there are any that aren’t so depressing? It Was Vulgar got close, but any ideas?
Tell The Wolves I’m Home by Carol Rifka Brunt. It’s not necessarily the main plot, but it does impact the main character and the plot. It was a tear jerker, but not like completely sad.

The Heart’s Invisible Furies – it features as a plot point as it follows a gay man who was born in the 40’s but overall the book was really optimistic.

my favorite book, tim and pete by james robert baker!! it’s romantic and sexy and funny and it’s all about getting pissed off instead of sad about AIDS
