After reading Dune Messiah I’m blown away. I’m very aware of peoples disappointment and distaste for Dune Messiah, and after loving the first novel so much I thought I was bound for disappointment. But man was I wrong, Dune Messiah not only equals the first novel but actually surpasses it in some areas.
It’s a powerful story with strong and relevant themes, and tips what the reader thinks is going to happen on their head and doesn’t hold back. It’s a fantastically written story, and to top it all off it has a really beautiful ending with Paul walking out into the desert, and seeing the other characters different perspectives on it. I’m curious to hear your thoughts on this novel, how does it compare to the first one and the others in the series?
