I haven’t been reading much for the past few years but I have been wanting to pick up reading again.
I noticed my attention span for reading and my reading speed has worsened as I’m now more used to shortform media like tiktok and I haven’t been making good progress on books I’ve recently picked up (Granted, they’re classic books that I’m reading for a uni class so I guess they can get a bit slow).
Would appreciate any recs to get back into reading! Generally open to most genres, some of the genres I usually like are fantasy, sci fi, dystopia, contemporary, but others are fine too.

Agatha Christie is my go-to when I’m in a slump. My personal favorites are And Then There Were None & The Murder of Rodger Ackroyd.
Into Thin Air by Jack Krakauer had me hooked from the start. It doesn’t fit any of your typical genres, but if a journalist’s account of the 1996 Mt. Everest disaster interests you at all, check it out. It’s non-fiction and very non-boring.
Z for Zachariah is a very approachable dystopian novel if you haven’t read that one yet.
