I usually read very heavy, award winning books – a lot of “modern classics” and Pulitzer Prize winners because of the book club I’m in. In the summer months, I do a lot more reading but I do tend to like books that are a still kind of “book club”ish but a little lighter. I generally hate romance novels and, aside from that, I’m looking for something I could listen to around the house or in the car without it being full of graphic sex scenes that I wouldn’t want my kids to hear (can’t wear airbuds since I need to hear if my kids need me.)
Looking for something like Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng or Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus or a Lianne Moriarty book (I’ve read them all by now so I want something new!)
