Please suggest a book which can be any or all of crime/mystery/thriller? Bonus if its set in Europe but not essential

I’ll be travelling on my honeymoon soon across Europe. My wife loves to lay on the beach all day and I know I’ll be bored after 5 minutes so I’d love some book recommendations.

I absolutely loved the Dragon tattoo series. I’ve had a look online for a while but it seems every book has mixed reviews so it’s hard to commit.
