    Hey.
I’m doing this book bingo and there’s a sci-fi square that i need to fill. I’m not much of a sci-fi reader, although I have read some of the classics, and I prefer books that have a kind of on the ground outdoors-element to it. I prefer nature over bleak emptiness.

I do like books dealing with the exploration of new worlds (but on the ground, new planets, things like that) I like the trope of someone arriving and someone already being there. I like character-driven stories.

I have a pretty low treshold for body-horror.

    1. Shards of Honor by Lois McMaster Bujold might work. The opening premise is of 2 people from planets on opposing sides of a growing conflict are marooned on an unexplored planet both sides claim ownership of have to work together to get to safety. It’s the first book in a series so if you enjoy the characters you can continue reading.
