My daughter really wants more books featuring gay or bi protagonists (gender doesn't matter), but she is only 12, so nothing heavily sexual. Most YA is okay. She loved the Heartstopper series and Going Bicoastal, and she's currently reading Some Girls Do. She also loves fantasy genre, if there is any good overlap there.

    1. Firstly, you’re an awesome parent helping her find books like this! Try ‘Becoming Dinah’! It was the first wlw book I ever read when I was about her age and I remembering loving it. I think I read it in a day while on holiday! The protagonist is bi and it’s just a really nice story about self discovery, as the protagonist Dinah stops being home schooled, makes new friends, begins to discover her sexuality etc. Absolutely nothing sexual and it has a happy ending ( a lot of, especially older, queer books don’t)

There’s a series called The Devouring Wolf by Natalie C. Parker, about wolf shapeshifters. It’s very LGBT friendly and has lots of diversity.

The second novel is called The Nameless Witch.

Another one is The Language of Seabirds by Will Taylor.
