A couple of months ago, I found a small book of Conan the Barbarian. I had heard of him, but never actually read any. So I chose the one with the lowest number on the side and began reading it. Now, the cover looked very 70s. Looking back, it was similar to the poster of Star Wars: A New Hope, where a man, presumably Conan, was fighting some enemies on a cliff with a woman at his feet.

Starting off, this was not actually a book but a collection of stories published way after the original creator died, and the cover was in reference to the first story, where a young Conan infiltrates an enemy castle to save the chief's daughter, who, yes, is a damsel in distress, but it is also mentioned that she is still a warrior. The scene depicted on the cover is not really in the book since she is side by side with her people in their last stand.

So my question is, have you seen a cover that misrepresents the scene it was based on?
