Hmm. If you don’t mind MM, Whiskey and Sin is a SUPER spicy romance with werewolves, but it feels very cozy/cottagcore.
Less spicy but Uprooted by Naomi Novik might work really well. Still heavy on the romance, and I love that it’s based on an old Polish fairytale.
Swordheart by T Kingfisher stars a middle-aged housekeeper who discovers that an old sword contains the soul of a warrior. It’s very sweet and I love main characters who aren’t 19.
