So I am 22 and have gotten an e-reader for my birthday a month ago, it ignited my passion for reading because really all I ever read was mandatory for schoolwork and not really reading in my free time. I found I mostly lean towards fantasy / sci-fi but my sample of read books is extremely small so I am open to try anything. They only thing I would prefer is that the story is fully completed, either a standalone book or a series, but I don't want to read an actively airing one.

For reference I read Hunger Games and liked the first 3 books, the 4th one ( The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes ) was uninteresting to me for some reason but I read through it. Project Hail Mary I really loved and wanted to read The Martian too but I already know the plot and the ending since I watched the movie so I decided not to. I also read The Grace Year which I found okay-ish. Last one I finished yesterday is Dark Matter which I also enjoyed even though the plot and ending was easy to predict. The recommendation does not necessarily need to be sci-fi / fantasy it just happens I stumbled across these books first because I guess they feel like I am watching a movie, what I am already used to do.

Sorry for the rant, thanks if you read through this
