I'm getting into historical mysteries set in the 1920s – books by contemporary authors like Benedict Brown instead of Christie or Sayers.
The vast majority of these books are set in England written by British authors. I'm wondering if there are any set in the US or written by an American writer.
I'm interested to see how this type of mystery-which usually involves a manor house, lots of alcohol, and a lord or lady investigator-would look set in the US, with prohibition, no ruling class, etc
Alternatively, are there any Americans writing the typical 1920s British mystery?
