Hi all 🙂
I’m looking for a book that’s comforting. Either centred around a friendship or someone’s character growth.
Books that I’ve read and liked recently:
Anything by Dolly Alderton,
The Rachel Incident,
Anything by Sally Rooney,
I’m a Fan,
The Idiot & Either/or, and
The Adult
I’m just looking for a comfort read in a time of emotional uncertainty. Something that may feel like a hug almost.
Thanks to anyone that replies 🙂

Lessons in chemistry by Bonnie Garmas (character growth, women scientist in the 1900s)
It ends with us by Colleen Hoover (independence in romantic relationships, character growth, story is about abuse and trauma)
They’re both great books. I hope you like them!
If you’re open to a very long book, [The Hands of the Emperor](https://app.thestorygraph.com/books/af2bba9c-8f41-4a3e-b87a-8532a44ccb67) by Victoria Goddard! It’s a beautifully written slice of life book about the personal secretary to the emperor of the world, with a heavy focus on platonic relationships.
(From a fellow 20 something year old woman 😊)
Delicious!
Ruth Reichl is very cozy
Also The Princess Bride
Novel by William Goldman
The abridged version is the only version, no matter what the author tries to say.
And it’s more of a teen series but a comfort read I go back to alot is The Enchanted Forest Chronicles
By Patricia C. Wrede it has an epilog short story in Book of Enchantments that has a recipe in the back, so does Delicious!
