    Hi together,

    a friend of mine was heavily sick from covid during the pandemie and developed kind of a long-covid with symptoms like weakness and severe body pain. During the pandemie she was more or less permanently inside the house and also after the panemie was over she stayed inhouse due to her long-covid.

    Besides her physical symptoms she developed now also a heavy anxiety of leaving the house and going outside. She sais by herself that these fears are irrational and she is not afraid of something specific to happen. Its a mental issue that she developed during that time of isolation. However this condition is – in my opinion – even more severe than the physical illness and I would like to support her to overcome it step by step.

    Just to already take it away: She lives in a 3rd world country where you cannot easily go to a therapy or take advantage of a social network. All these things are not an option.

    Can you suggest me a non-fiction, english-language book that deals with building up mental strength to overcome such anxieties? Something that works for self-teaching? With content that would also be applied in psychotherapy?
