I'm a 15 year old, and I read very, I guess, childish books. Which, makes sense since I'm a child, but I was wondering if anyone had any, kind of simple yet interesting book recommendations and I'll see if I find them at my local library. I mostly read just, romance, psychological horror, and fantasy. I'm currently reading She Gets The Girl, Lolita (taking a break bc I'm stupid and understand it, but just having trouble with it), and I'm glad my mom died, so I'm hoping to find something to kind of expand my mind. I'm not very smart, I had a hard time understanding The Odyssey, but Romeo and Juliet was a little bit easier, but not much. I'm just hoping that someone has any ideas and I can find something I enjoy. I like reading, and I do it for fun, but I feel like I'm too stupid not to move to a different type of book.

Do not feel silly for things you enjoy. I can very easily be your father and i love nothing more than a YA fantasy series. In fact that is almost all i read.

How about some Dean Koontz? Odd Thomas series.

      Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare?

And lastly have a look at {{Magician by Raymond E Feist}} book 1 in the riftwar saga.

First of all, there’s nothing wrong with the kind of books you’re reading! The important thing is that you’re enjoying reading them. That said, here are some ideas for other books you can try:

      – [A Tree Grows in Brooklyn](https://app.thestorygraph.com/books/dc5de2f5-b132-4c4c-8e49-8bf46005d5da) by Betty Smith — a classic, but a pretty accessible one
      – [Unwind](https://app.thestorygraph.com/books/13643974-53b8-40c5-82f9-553b746d3669) by Neal Shusterman — a really interesting dystopia
      – [The Goose Girl](https://app.thestorygraph.com/books/2d9d85b9-6993-4ce7-8436-7383a2677eb5) by Shannon Hale — a really beautifully written fantasy book
      – [Bird by Bird](https://app.thestorygraph.com/books/6aedad6f-3f8e-4fc0-94ce-4cc74be14d61) by Anne Lamott — my favorite nonfiction book

    3. You shouldn’t feel silly for what you read. That you read at all is really good. You can learn things from all kinds of books.

Here are some classics I enjoyed that are easier to read:

      The Secret Garden

      Tom Sawyer

      Pride and Prejudice

      Sherlock Holmes

      Call of the Wild

      Frankenstein

      Phantom of the Opera

    4. Read anything you like to read. Your happiness is not dependent on what other people say.
