Does anyone have any good recs for vampire books?
Dracula and Interview with a vampire are already on my tbr.
Every time the fmc is SO annoying and it always leads to her becoming a vampire or it‘s a five book series where they have to overthrow the vampire government or something like that.
I just want to have a big bad vampire bite me please – no big fantasy world involved. Love myself romance and smut.
I have read:
– the vampire debt (5 books and change the world/government, it was decent enough to finish)
– filthy rich vampire (terrible writing!)
– dark prince (again, change the world)
– blood debt (again, overthrow the system, decent enough to finish)
Nothing scrathes the itch. I‘ve been googling and reading reviews but I‘m not happy with most of them. And please don’t say Twilight. Thanks!!

I remember really enjoying I Am Legend by Richard Matheson. It’s not your typical vampire story.
There is also Salems Lot by Stephen King.
Neither have romance or smut though. For that, you might like Dead Until Dark by Charlaine Harris.
