I’m writing a novel about backpackers. Idealistic, grubby, dirtbag, hostel hopping backpackers. My main character goes through loss, grief, he matures as a person and becomes more aware of himself and the world around him. It’s a novel about travel, I want to tackle the meaning of travel, how it impacts us, but also laugh at the idealism of young backpackers without punching down.
I’m looking for books about the philosophy of travel, travel novels, travel memoirs.
