Books full of traumatized characters.

What's up guys, I've been thinking of writing a book where I want to depict a traumatized bunch, but I honestly lack knowledge on how to actually write the trauma related parts.(All the stuff I can think is kinda of too forced and out of place) And I don't think I have ever read something that heavy psychologically.

So I wanted some books recommendations of books with traumatized characters, on going or already experienced trauma (all the heavy stuff you can think of well passed to words.)

The more realistic or detailed the better.

I hate romance, but if what I want is well written in it I'll gladly take it.
