With my job I get to spend a lot of time listening to audiobooks. I like the gritty detective mystery novels. I’ve listened to all the Harry Bosch books and all the other Michael Connelly series’. All the Jack Reacher, Lee Child books. All the Dennis Lehane books, all the Alex Cross books. I’m currently on the last book of the Walt Longmire series. I’m thinking James Lee Burke and the Dave Robicheaux series next. But I’m open to other suggestions.

Obligatory Hercule Poirot recommendation, by Agatha Christie. If I recall correctly, they can be read in just about any order, and it features the famous “Murder on the Orient Express”.
