Hi! I am looking to gift my coworker, who is also a close friend, a book as a thank you. I'm leaving the company to go to grad school and he was a huge help in supporting me both during the application process and in helping me through life problems. I see him often as the older sibling I never had. So, I want to get him a book that represents our friendship. His book interests may go against this. He prefers books that have well explored, detailed words as opposed to characters with plot lines (he liked Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, and the first 3 Game of Thrones Books). The only book that's popping into my head about a good teacher student friendship is "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" but I want something that focuses more on that core friendship.
Also, if anyone has suggestions for a book that fits his interests more, I'd appreciate it!
