My request may sound a little vague but I’d like to learn and understand why connecting with one’s own culture and heritage is very important to some people, and I’ve been looking for books that talk about that sort of thing.
A little context is that I’ve never particularly felt connected to my own heritage and I never had a problem with that but now I’m starting to feel like there’s a gap in my identity and I’d like to explore why culture is important to one’s self to see if that identity gap is because I don’t connect with my heritage or if it’s something else.
