Here's the context: I believe I'm a kind, likable, and interesting person. My friends who have known me for a long find me funny. I play sports, work out, like adventure, and am up to date with world affairs – I can make conversation about any topic. I have a non-serious outlook on life, too.

A recent problem I've figured out from being single and going on solo trips is I struggle to make a good first impression. People think I'm silent, serious, and grumpy at first. Although, when they spend a couple of days with me, they'll start to love me.
Recently, on a solo trip, someone on the third day told me – "Damn, this was completely opposite of what I thought about you at first". And I've got this a lot.
I realize there's so much more to me than people initially see. I often go blank at questions like, "What do you do," "What makes you interesting," and "Who are you." This might also make me lose opportunities professionally. Has anyone read books that have helped them with this? I do not want to fake an impression; just want my original self to be better seen and sooner. Any help is appreciated! Thank you!
