Sci-fi Alien/cosmic horror

I’m coming up on the end of The Gone World, and loved the book! Also recently read Event Horizon which was great as well.

I’m looking for something like I described in the title, along with both these past reads. Kinda where a crew goes to space and comes across a horror thats unimaginable. Bonus points if the crew is a solid strong point to follow, but would like something disturbing, horrific, almost HP Lovecraft type creatures, beings, places or like Event Horizon type “antagonist”.
