I re-read the book recently and loved it again. He really captured the backpacker's vain search for an unspoilt experience, and the disgust when places are spoilt by mass tourism. I did my stint as a pretentious backpacker, and it really chimed with me.
I also loved the adventure of finding the beach, and the desperation of certain characters as it unravels.
So I'm looking for something similar. Not other work by Garland, as I'm familiar with that. I'm interested about work by other authors. Thanks
