    1. It depends a little on what type of fantasy you like, but:

The Martian Chronicals by Ray Bradbury is good if you want something that is not weighed down my technical descriptions and has almost lyrical prose.

Jurassic Park by Michael Crichton if you want a thrilling, familiar story

    2. As someone who also recently expanded out from fantasy into sci-fi, I found The Expanse series by James S. A. Corey, starting with Leviathan Wakes, to be quite a nice beginner into the genre. I’ve also read the likes of Dune, and The Expanse is definitely an easier one to get your head around.

    3. Beckie-V-Laine75 on

The Space Adventures Of Commander Laine written by Beckie Veronica Laine. May be something that you will like

    4. The gateway series by Larry nievin and the ringworld series by Frederick phol theses are older but actually take place in space

    5. The Conquerors’ trilogy by Timothy Zahn

All You Need is Kill by Hiroshi Sakurazaka

    6. It really depends on the kind of stories you like to read. For instance space sci fi classics like the foundation series or the dune series are a good idea if you want to start with space.
