Recommend a Beach Read to someone who only reads horror and nonfiction.

For context, 90% of what I read is nonfiction and the rest is usually horror or something random I have seen recommended a lot online.

To be honest, I am not really sure what a beach read actually is.

The last 3 books Ive read are Fire Season (nonfiction about a working in a wilderness fire lookout tower in NM), House in the Cerulean Sea (too overly saccharine for me) and I am currently reading The Troop by Nick Cutter.

So, hit me with your number 1 “beach read” suggestion.
