I have had this itch for a while, and it's difficult to find something like it, because I also want the setting to be either dystopian, near future, urban fantasy, or something of the sort, I am willing to be a little bit liberal here. I would like a story where the main character has to face several hardships, but doesn't flat out permanently lose heart.
