Looking for books with an air of Greek tragedy.

I've been really craving for books that have a sense of Tragedy/Greek tragedy.

Some books I've liked that I would say fit this theme are the secret history, the virgin suicides, the sundial, we have always lived in the castle, the metamorphosis, the wasp factory, our wives under the sea, picnic at hanging rock, I'm thinking of ending things and atonement.

Movies and tv shows that I liked and say fit a similar theme are the killing of a sacred deer and yellowjackets.

I'm looking for something with a sense of inevitability. Something that slowly unravels, something elegant but slightly morbid that keeps you reading.
