Book about teenage female friendships and related issues

I really enjoyed Rose of No Man’s Land by Michelle Tea. I also love the movie Thirteen, and The Craft.

Basically, I like stories about teenage girls who have strong relationships with their female friends, are coping with the challenges of becoming women, and may be dealing with problems like substance abuse, smoking, etc. I want to read more of these, and I prefer books written by women.

Please don’t suggest The Virgin Suicides or Girl, Interrupted as I am already familiar with both. Thank you.
