So, long story short, it's been almost 10 years since my last book.
Back in the day I used to read some fantasy (like LoTR) , horror ( mostly Stephen king) and some comic books ( Sandman and Scott Pilgrim)
Some things about me:

I'm a player and gamemaster of TtRPG like D&D and Pathfinder , so I really dig into high fantasy (specially darker ones)

Dresden Files is a solid pick IMO. The first couple are early forays by the author, and thus a bit rougher than the latter part of the series, but it isn’t bad and if you like the first few you’ll love all of it.
