Please suggest books on life and death.

Looking for texts exploring the concept of existence and beyond.

I am reading existential and post modern texts, but more specific responses are welcome.
It can be from any genre or format (e.g novel, poetry, graphic novel and so on).

Recent texts are okay as well.
