Earths Children, book 1 being Clan of the Cave Bear. She does spend a lot of time in the book describing the animals and more so the plants. A LOT. And yes plenty of uncensored type stuff, more so as you progress through the series.
One criticism, book 4 she kind of ran out of steam maybe? They travel, they stop for sex, they travel some more, they have sex….etc. So lots of steamy scenes? You’;ll love book 3 especially.
