What i'm looking for:
Female protagonist over 30.
NO romance as the main plot. It can be in there, but just waaayyy in the background.
Not too dark in atmosphere; essentially like the show: murder mystery but still light and maybe even a bit hilarious.
Modern setting, preferably in the U.K. or Ireland. I've read Agatha Christie. Which, her Miss Marple series is basically what i'm looking for, but set in the now.
