A book where the mc has been sheltered all their lives, and some kind of event occurred which forced them to go out their comfort zone. Preferably fantasy or scifi.
The Krossan Saga pretty much fits that description perfectly. Young and shy Prince is forced out of the castle by the sudden death of the King.
Semi medieval fantasy, there is relatively little magic but everything else is there
