Is there a better version of Goodreads?

I love cataloguing the media I consume, it's just a fun hobby. I make frequent use of both Letterboxd for movies and Backloggd for games. I'm interested in getting into reading, but Goodreads seems to be the go to book cataloguing service and to be honest, it kind of just sucks ass. I don't mind Amazon owning it or anything, I just think it's bad at its job.
