Should I Bother Reading The Rest of the Book?

I started watching “The Shining Girls” on Netflix. After four episodes I started reading (listening) the book.

I finished the whole series. I know what’s going on and how it ends. But I am only a quarter through the book.

Is the book much different from the TV show? I don’t feel like wasting time listening to a book I know how will end.

Is there enough difference to make it worthwhile to finish listening?
