For some reason it’s been so so difficult for me to find a book that I enjoy that’s fantasy/horror/fiction that doesn’t have romance shoehorned in. For me romance completely skews the plot and I don’t enjoy reading about intimate moments between fictional characters. I enjoy the books Annihilation and What Moves The Dead. I’m an adult so please veer away from teen/YA, thank you!!
(It doesn’t have to be 100% clean of romance I just hate that some books don’t even mention romance at all and then it suddenly becomes the plot)
