    * Star Wars: Darth Bane trilogy (haven’t read yet but own all three books cause same author as above)

    I’m currently considering getting Dune, Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy, Foundation series, or The Lord of the Rings, though it helps to have a wide range of suggestions to look into. If y’all know of more novels or authors I should check out, let me know!

      {{Hyperion by Dan Simmons}}

      {{Leviathan Wakes by James S.A. Corey}}, really pushing that page limit though.

      classics or just good?

      Gateway

      A Canticle for Liebowitz

      Starship Troopers

      Some of my favorites that aren’t classics (yet) are The Hyperion Cantos, The Zones of Thought series, The Bobiverse Series.

    3. The Gormenghast Trilogy

      The Left Hand of Darkness

      The King of Elfland’s Daughter

      The Worm Ouroboros (Disclaimer: moderately difficult read)

    4. So many great recs in here already, so I’ll throw in some more that I like.

      * *The Once and Future King* by TH White – King Arthur story, told with heartbreaking pathos and delightful whimsy
      * *The Last Unicorn* by Peter S Beagle – just so god damned good. Magical.
      * *A Wizard of Earthsea* by Ursula K LeGuin – feels fresh and exciting even after 50-odd years
      * *The Golden Compass* by Philip Pullman – Maybe my favorite fantasy setting ever. Got steampunk?
      * *Berserk* by Kentaro Miura – this one is a manga series, and **not** for the faint of heart, but for my money it’s one of the best stories put to paper.
