Dear Reddit hivemind, I'm looking for books (ideally fiction, though I have just added "how to win the Bachelor" to my kindle) that deal with the phenomenon of reality TV and game shows and how people use them to become influencers. The ideal suggestion would have a protagonist entering a sports-related game show with multiple rounds and a sudden rise to (social Media) fame, but I'll happily take anything that is centered around any type of competitive/reality TV. If there is a blood-sport aspect like in Hunger Games, I'd still like some focus on the stardom/social media aspect, as I'm mainly looking for stories that turn more intangible things like fame and popularity into solid stakes.
