I just recently read A Killing on the Hill and loved the depression era setting and the crime/mystery themes and wanna get into some more but I also prefer shorter books like a lot of Louis L'Amour stuff(150-200 pgs) so what's some authors or books I should check out? I know the hard case crime line seems to be popular. Any others? Or any specific authors or series to look into? Thanks for any help!!!
TL;DR crime/mystery books set in the first of the 20th century-ish that are fairly short. Basically Louis L'Amour about 40-50 years later.
