Memoir/bio recs written by someone who became friends with a celebrity?

This is very specific but does anyone have memoir/biography recommendations written by people who have become friends with a celebrity?

I was close with an older celebrity who recently passed and I’m exploring my options to write a book about my experience. Or at least an essay.

For example, I can think of “Crawford: The Last Years” written by a fan-turned-friend of Joan Crawford, who befriended the actress in her later years. Looking for other similar works / biographies!
