Book with a mad lad as protagonist or one of the main character?

Basically any book recommendations where the protagonist or one of the main characters is a mad lad? I loved locke lamora in "the lies of locke lamora" as well as kvothe in "the name of the wind" and sequel, that's basically what I have in mind. Thanks!
