I truly enjoyed the ambition and intelligence of the main character, Julien Sorel. I tried other books such as Great Expectations by Dickens but it wasn't the same. I want the main character to be ambitious and smart. I also don't really like sci-fi but if there is a perfect fit I am willing to try. The theme social climbing is desired.
